The tale unfolds at the climactic end of World War II. Three American soldiers, on a perilous secret mission deep within the war-torn landscapes of Germany, believe they have stumbled across a hidden cache filled with Nazi gold and priceless stolen artwork. However, what they uncover instead is far more sinister, as they inadvertently interrupt an evil ceremony driven by a long-forgotten artifact, a shocking encounter that nearly costs them their lives. Fast forward sixty years, and the forces of evil that were thought to be vanquished return with vengeance. Sergeant Tony DeMarco, the last living member of his ill-fated mission, is resolute in his determination to prevent this dark power from rising once more. Meanwhile, Aila McFallon, who initially believes she is merely responding to what she presumes is a simple boundary crossing, finds herself unexpectedly thrown into the heart of a brewing storm alongside Tony and her fellow Keepers.
