A Demon’s Kiss synopsis

Aila McFallon, the Keeper from Clan McFallon, and her live-in boyfriend, Alex Dunwiddy, a millionaire game designer, reside in her Brookline home, a family treasure since the early 1700s. Aila has managed mundane crossings for years in eastern Massachusetts, a supernatural hotspot where the Veil between worlds is exceptionally thin. Recently, she devoted more time to expanding the family’s charitable foundation than to repelling hell spawn. However, she faced a suddenly hectic summer in Beantown, responding to nearly weekly calls of bizarre seemingly unexplainable deaths.

Healthy politicians were dying of heart attacks, renowned actors were committing ‘suicide’, young men were rampaging in broad daylight, and an ‘animal’ recently savaged a homeless man near the Common, violating graves and chewing on bones, including those of the illustrious Paul Revere. These incidents all had the signature of a summoning. Whether by accident, as is common nowadays, or by a summoner’s intent, Aila was uncertain of the cause but determined to halt it. Her task was straightforward: find the entities and purge this world of their vile presence through their destruction.

Meanwhile, a malevolent figure adept in the ancient art of Necromancy was causing chaos in Boston for personal gain. Oblivious to each other’s existence, the inevitable encounter between two potent forces—one a protector, the other a necromancer—promised that only Aila’s formidable abilities could save her from a dire fate..
